About Me

Your Coach, Dirk Slater

With nearly thirty years of experience supporting social justice movements in over 40 countries, I bring a wealth of facilitation knowledge. I have trained and coached over a thousand facilitators, assisting them in integrating participatory methods and adult learning strategies that enhance session outcomes and improve groups’ ability to collaborate effectively.

In the last decade, I have collaborated with numerous international teams to bolster remote cohesiveness, co-created IFRC’s Data Playbook through engagements with their global network of humanitarians, and shepherded MozFest’s and RightsCon’s initiatives to create participant-centric events. Most recently, I launched a resource called The Collective Power Playbook, which has a diverse and growing network of experienced facilitators contributing.
